@BreitbartNews has been on top of all these "hoax hate crimes" from the start, beginning during the 2016 campaign. So many hoaxes, false police reports filed & subsequent charges brought against all the liars & schemers who got caught before Smollett decided it was his turn.

This is true in so many cases. Not that we should ignore the 1/3 that are probably real. But sometimes it's basically someone trying to get attention, and then the "story" takes wings on its own. #TawanaBrawley

Not surprised at all the very idea of a hate crime is ludicrous. A crime is a crime. Hate speech and hate crimes are tools used by the left to create more division.

Like the inevitable "death threats" that follow unsubstantiated accusations of harassment/ rape against conservative men. It is part of the playbook. Like the accusations themselves, I bet most are fabricated.

Of course the news usually doesn't report when it turns out to be a hoax! Shame on the people crafting these hoaxes and the news for not reporting on it when it is a hoax! This actually takes away from the people that really go though hate crimes.
