There is absolutely no reason for Trump to interfere with Mueller's investigation. Trump knew that the report would be empty of proof of a crime because Trump didn't commit any crime. No crime, no motive to obstruct. Voicing Concerns of bias conflicts are not criminal.

Trump just wanted McGahn to tell Rosenstein his view of Mueller’s conflicts, and then see what Rosenstein had to say about whether or not Mueller should get booted for that. After all, that’s all McGahn could do - he can’t fire Mueller and he can’t verbally command Rosenstein.
