As Dr King said way back then, referring to his kids... All should be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin. That applies so much to today!

Peter, your revisionist thoughts about King are quite telling. When he was working in the civil rights movement, he was considered just as radical(or more so) by most Americans as the “progressives” you deride today.

Herman, I remember that wherever he was and whatever he did it was always in a peaceful manner. A true Christian!

When in the course of human events it becomes necessary to stand up against injustice we honor those brave men and women who have the courage to say 'enough is enough, we will no longer tolerate inequality in our society! We will stand firm to what is right.' we salute you!

I wish I could have met this man. I always wonder if he was alive today , what he would be thinking. My wish one would to meet his niece. She says so many positive words, just as her uncle had said. I was young when he was killed.

I believe Dr King was about building bridges and knocking down walls. Please do not disrespect the memory of a great man.
