Simply negotiation posturing. Threatening to cancel a deal for anything from buying a car to building a new house is a common tactic. Negotiation 101. Too difficult a course for the journalism degree.

N. Korea is playing their usual games and UNLIKE past administrations, Trump is NOT playing the game back and is NOT taking the bait. Kim is twisting in the wind and the poor child doesn't know what to do. It worked for his father, but then again he didn't have to deal w/ Trump.
