Such is the condition her baby has, it was discovered early on her pregnancy at the 12 week scan. She is now 13 weeks. Her baby's condition is 100% fatal, but the pregnancy is likely to continue until beyond 40 weeks due to the nature of it. She is devastated. 2/
To compound this distress she has spent 3 days attempting to get an appointment at a UK hospital to end the pregnancy. For various reasons an abortion clinic is not suitable for her needs at all. However only one, private hospital could see her. 3/
The costs were far beyond the family's reach. It looked as though she would be forced to live every day for the next 27 weeks + growing a pregnancy that would end in stillbirth. You can't imagine that fear. That crushing weight of terror. 4/
Thankfully, as has happened before, help was offered to her, not by doctors, politicians, church or religious 'institute'. Not by those who claim to 'love both'. But vy tireless campaigners who work overseas for Irish women in desperate need. 5/

In tears here, DHR is a disgusting vile man. We don't know the minute or the hour a member of family or friend could get this devastating news. 
It’s just disgraceful. And what makes it worse is this person was voted into office. 
Unfortunately his views are still representative of a section or the Irish electorate and I'm sure are popular with his base.
We're so very sorry for your loss Barbara. There's nothing we can do to stop this kind of nastiness but campaigning for legal change & supporting each other helps.
