Thanks & for highlighting the evidence which shows that we can decouple global prosperity from environmental impacts. Whilst CO2 emissions get a lot of focus, it's important to remember there are many other factors that need addressing too.

More and more countries achieve to decouple economic growth from CO₂ emissions. Just made this new chart that shows the evidence for 25 countries. Growth is up, emissions down.

BTW you need to check your claim about Germany phasing out brown coal. This is simply not true. went to check out the devastation caused by brown coal mining.

This aged well. If and the want Australia to avoid the energy crisis Germany is now experiencing, they must learn that not using #nuclear makes the clean energy transition very difficult. #auspol

Coal-fired power down 17%, solar up 82%. Cloudy Germany can get it right, so why not Australia? Via @EnergiewendeGER bit.ly/1nL547H

Well said it's not either or, it's all of the above. Wind, solar, nuclear and storage.

.@isabelleboemeke makes the case for nuclear power as the Diablo Canyon plant is debated. "Nuclear power plants can make a lot of carbon free electricity, 24/7 in a very small land footprint & if we have any hopes of reversing climate change, we have to get off fossil fuels"

Today, in one of the birthplaces of Anti-Nuclearism, California, politicians voted YES to extending the life of their last nuclear plant, Diablo Canyon, for at least another 5 years!! And our team was there every step of the way. No matter where in the world, we will stand up!

Mr. Grossi embodies skin-in-the-game, on-the-ground personal leadership. An underappreciated part of nuclear energy's return to the center stage is great people rising to the challenge. The world wants trustworthy eyes and ears on the ground at Zaporizhzhia. Here he is.

Paid anti nuclear activist that says anything to secure his job, criticises IAEA chief and staff risking their lives in a war zone to secure nuclear safety. Slow slap 👏

It's shameful, but after just a few hours at Zaporizhzhia, IAEA lead Grossi did not stand his ground. #nuclear #IAEA #Zaporizhzhia #Ukraine

True for Australia too. We have contributed more than 3x more to #ClimateChange than countries like Pakistan and have become wealthier as a result. It's important we be good global citizens are transition to clean energy ASAP & provide aid when needed.

So thought I'd check out season 2 since I'd already paid for the game at launch & waited this long for some content. Get about 2 minutes in each match before anti cheat kicks me out. Absolute trash development. should just issue refunds.

Nuclear “safety” was mentioned often in this debate. But to ensure our own safety, we must build more nuclear reactors. Statistician Hans Rosling said “fear instinct distorts our focus”. I was an anti-nuclear activist, and now I work to undo the damage. Choose facts over fear.

If the were serious about a #JustTransition for coal & gas workers, they would push to have their thermal plants converted to nuclear, as called for by unions & business. This would provide on-going highly paid jobs for workers & their communities. #auspol

The cynicism is breath-taking. Waiting for this screen shot for what, 40 years of the opposite circumstance? Achieved after 7 years of policy directed at reducing nuclear % share in favour of greater renewables? And it's still a cleaner grid than Germany.

1/ Long-haul trucking is one of those industries that everybody relies on, but that few spend much time thinking about. The men and women who crisscross our highway system to deliver indispensable goods are among the unsung heroes of our economy.

For a generation of energy experts and politicians, France's already-built already-low-CO2 nuclear fleet was one of the hardest problems to solve By solve I mean destroy It was so big. So cheap. Worse, taxing carbon and expanding the grid only makes it STRONGER But they did it
