    3) Using personal connections are likely just as inequitable. 4) Refusing $500 for a couple hours of my time for these reasons perpetuates publication as a competition, rather than making better science. 5) The claim this helps "avoid peer review at journals" is super troubling

    An interesting thread. Couple thoughts (1/2): 1) The obvious inequity across institutions can impact ability to publish. Surely a bad for getting *more* science. 2) Having funds to give additional review is, in general, probably a strong good for science. ...

    I had a request to be a "pre-reviewer" for a manuscript written by a Harvard-affiliated author. What is a pre-reviewer? For $500, I am asked to give constructive feedback on the manuscript so that it will be a better paper for journal submission

    余計なお世話ですが、たぶん健康にはなれませんし、お金の無駄なのでやめておいたほうがよろしいかと思います。理由は以下で。

    尿一滴でガン検査が出来るサービスが今月から徐々にスタート。1回9800円。親ふくめ、2ヶ月にいちどやりたい。これで健康でいられるなら安い。もっと安くなっていくだろうし。
