Do you have a cost of living graph to show if there has been an impact due to the increased wages?

Could probably dig something out of somewhere. Will put on my to-do list and see what I can find.

There’s homeless people everywhere in Seattle though

There were homeless people everywhere before the minimum wage increase, the problem is rents keep going up.

$15 min wage for 5 years running really crushing that economy. Then in another breath we’ll have the likes of
@nytdavidbrooks disingenuously saying we have no problem because wages are rising at the low end.

Yeah, I don’t believe that. Even if it is technically accurate, it probably doesn’t take into account people who have been priced out of the area, and most likely doesn’t include the growing homeless population.

Just 10 years ago, rent for a 1 bedroom, 700 sqft apartment was $700 a month. The average is $1400 and as high as $3000. That is the real problem.

I am paying $1900 for mine in Tacoma/Proctor.
