    6 years ago, the resistance of Kobane stopped the brutality of the Islamic State in its tracks. Kobane became a turning point not only for Rojava or the conflict in Syria; Kobane became a symbol of resistance for all the world.

    One year ago today Kurdish politician Hevrin Khalaf was executed by Turkish backed mercenaries in Syria. They pulled her out of her car and shot her to death on the road before filming her lifeless body. RIP.

    Turkish proxies also destroyed the statue of Kawa in Afrin, Turkish army had build a military base on the şehidlik of Serekaniye (the graveyard of the martyrs). These are nothing less than attempts to erase the history of resistance against their bloody occupation.

    One of the main weapons of fascism is rewriting history, and for this they have to erase anything that happen before them, as if they are the cause and origin of everything that exists. ISIS did it, Turkish State do it, for example bombing the ancient temple of Ain Dara in Afrin

    One year ago, Turkish army launched an invasion NE Syria, and we took part in the defense of Serekaniye as combat medics. The war never really stopped, since the invasion of Afrin in 2018 until now Turkish state had been constantly attacking this revolution in every way possible.

    We commemorate Josh (Birusk in Rojava), who died few days ago in the age of 23. Josh was a militant revolutionary organizer and ex-IFB fighter. Some of us had an honor to stand alongside him in liberation of Raqqa. Rest in power comrade. Şehîd namirin!
