Awesome work by my Tel Aviv Uni students today- active learning and concept mapping at full steam! Science benefits when we teach how to think not what to think.

There are an infinite number of ways to stand out and be exceptional. Where we often get lost is in trying to be someone else’s version of what that looks like. Think about what makes you unique - your skills, experiences, interests - craft and pursue your version of exceptional.

Having superpowers helps me run a lab (see this excellent piece from ) but often that isn’t enough. Working with awesome people is what sustains me and the lab! Special thanks to my postdoc, Pepe, for this pic!

1/n Here’s advice on returning from a conference. Don’t rush back to work. Treat the first day back as an extra conf day. Had your 5-day conf been 6 days instead, you likely would have stayed that extra day. Use this “bonus” day for 4 R’s: recover, reconnect, review, refocus.
