They don't pay the people a lot of money and they are understaffed and over worked there more gates and more planes than there are people that's why

Sometimes they’re at another gate if their current Flt they are working is delayed in leaving they are late getting to their next gate. The jet bridge operator is the customer service agent for the Flt. There is no separate job as a ‘jet bridge’ operator
