    In May 2019, I had the pleasure to meet 's Dusty Hill at the band's 50th-anniversary party and present a proclamation celebrating the band's achievements. ZZ Top always embraces the greatness that lies within this city and we were fortunate that Dusty called home.

    Our city is saddened to learn about the untimely passing of 's bassist Dusty Hill. Performing in front of millions of fans, he truly performed with grace and with that sharped dressed man iconic style. My prayers are with his family and his band members today.

    Disappointed in this divisive comment from . “This is not a program for rebuilding McMansions,” she (GLO spox) said. NO ONE in these modest communities is asking for a "McMansion." They want homes rebuilt to pre-Harvey conditions. Just as GLO does in other neighborhoods.

    Yesterday, we held a news conference highlighting the frustrations residents are having with the GLO and their attempt to not rebuild houses to what they were before Harvey. The city was not reducing these homes nor diminishing their neighborhood's value.
