    No company or researcher has ever demonstrated an ability to recover data from a drive written with 0s. Been tried with electron microscopy.

        @uglypackets There are no known examples of wiped data being presented as evidence in a trial as far as I'm aware.

        @SwiftOnSecurity maybe true with magnetic drives. Not so sure about SSD. This is why OS X no longer has 'secure erase' for SSD machines.
