My new CO2 monitor says it’s hit high levels in this room...pic.twitter.com/g4q4IlTUsw

It’s now at 730 CO2 PPM. Incredible. That’s basically half. Somethings wrong with the air exchange rate. Wouldn’t have known if I didn’t buy this thing.
Here’s the unit. Note there’s no referral link. I don’t get anything if you click this. My funding all comes from Microsoft kickbacks. Hydrofarm APCEM2 Autopilot Desktop CO2 Monitor & Data Loggerhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FYWU2IS/
You know what would be utterly fascinating and trigger massive social change? If Apple Watch added oxygen and carbon dioxide level monitoring. There’s really no way for you to know about these problems except with sampling equipment, and most people won’t drag one around.
Update: Facilities dept is going to fix ventilation rate in room I gave them info about, something was broken/overlooked in cycle setting despite it being modern HVAC system! I brought this home and my apartment was over 1000. Fixed it by opening a window/turning on bathroom fan.
This can happen by accident despite a modern building and high-end system my employer can afford, & treats employees very well! Definitely ask your management to buy a CO2 meter to make sure you’re not all 15% dumber during meetings. This isn’t a joke they took me seriously.
I have a theory that high-end workplaces will start pumping in O2 as global CO2 levels rise
1000ppm is still pretty high, 15% less brain capacity compared to 400ppm
CO2 sensing is fun stuff. Was once on a team that made a wearable CO2 sensor for unique applications. The trouble was finding a place to wear it that wasn’t getting breathed on constantly - front of shirt obviously didn’t work.
