    Apparently, the Greens want a “universal basic income” although they voted with the Liberals to make income from the old age pension *less* available, and less universal. Which means one of these positions is either a mistake or a lie, or they have just… zero idea.

    so the conservatives who loathe subsidy and government intervention, now want their government to own it’s own power stations.

    So the Leftists who barrack for renewable energy targets, wind and solar subsidies, public Snowy 2.0 spending, carbon taxes and emissions trading schemes now decry public support for a coal power station on the basis it is a market intervention.

    The more things change ... Labor's legislated tax transparency data (opposed by the Coalition) shows 5 out of 6 big co's STILL pay less than the headline company tax rate. Hard-working Australians pay their fair share. Big companies should too. See
