    Did you know that 5 GW buildings have solar panel arrays installed on their rooftops? Urban rooftops are often unused space in the urban environment. Sustainability efforts include utilizing these spaces for energy generation or vegetation to improve air quality. Shine on, GDub🌞

    Wondering what’s going on in the GW GroW Garden this summer?! Take a peek👀 This ’s got squash, greens, radishes, eggplant, tomatoes and MORE.🌱 Don’t forget that YOU can join other growers in the garden on Tuesdays (5-6pm), Saturdays (10-11am), or Sundays (5-6pm)!

    The weather is heating up and so is the compost! Food waste requires heat🔥 to break down and transform into nutrient-rich compost. Brave the heat, like this PUP🐶, and bring your food waste to GWCompost collection every Friday anytime between 9:30 am and noon @ Kogan Plaza.🌞🥬

    Happy Arbor Day! There’s nothing like a day for trees in the City of Trees. DC has more green space per capita than many other major U.S. cities. This is wonderful for sustainability, as trees have many environmental and social benefits. Cheers to the City of Trees!
