No, a Biden presidency would crush the left far more. By voting Joe, you reward election rigging, political hostage taking/blackmail, and put the left in a position where they're completely ignored, because the center goes back to sleep and brunch. ⬇️

Not only that, but Biden is certain to push the same policies that gave us Trump. Pair that the irreversible climate change he'll lie & do nothing to stop - and you get far worse than Trump. THANKS to Joe. Malcolm X put it best with his wolf/fox analogy.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHzNFQXTUOQ&t=108s …

That is why we need to organize and mobilize where there are opportunities: local candidates like @chesaboudin who can show progressive policies work; and electoral reforms like #RankedChoiceVoting to give 3rd parties and ind’s a chance. Pres. gen. election is no opportunity yet

Oh, we absolutely MUST organize, mobilize and #generalstrike, demanding RCV, paper ballots, nationwide automatic audits, etc. AND - we should all vote #greenparty in the 2020 general. That includes swing states. Make sure Biden either loses or wins with zero mandate. 👊

How did voting 3rd party in 2000 and 2016 help progressives? How did Gore’s and Clinton’s losses help move the party left or energize/empower Greens, Social Dems or any other 3rd party? How did Bush/Trump winning with zero mandates in 2000 or 2016 weaken the RNC?

How did voting for the allegedly "lesser" of two evils help progressives in 2000 or 2016? Or for the last 40 years? That strategy *gave* us Trump. Voting either Biden or Trump continues that. ATM, voting #greenparty is best - even in swing states. #nevertrumpneverbiden.

I did. The bottom line is, they're innocently (I hope) faulty framing. Voting 3rd party in 2000 and 2016 at least didn't give the Dems or Reps a larger, undeserved mandate. It's a shame more of us didn't have the courage of our convictions. ⬇️

Neither the Dems nor the GOP experienced any weakening of their duopoly, no loss of mandate, after both 2000 and 2016. What you are arguing is precisely what the Greens and their boosters argued before 2000 and 2016. Why should anyone expect that THIS time will be different?

Fred - I think you misunderstand my position. Which is: Both Trump and Biden are utter political evil, and would result in a continuation of the human rights violations they both stand for. As such, we are definitely best off boosting #greenparty & refusing a mandate to both.⬇️

Yes, Biden and Trump are both bad. There is NOTHING we can do about it. We are best off focusing our energy and attention building a grassroots movement that can shift American politics, rather than repeating the same delusional presidential campaign that failed repeatedly.
