Disturbingly, this has included pressuring the University to terminate her employment. Everyone at the University has the right to be free from harassment and intimidation. [2/3]

Very encouraging response. I’ve seen first hand the aggression and intimidation women face by these extremists who demand they stay silent on this. It’s frightening and must stop. Glad you take free speech, academic freedom and women’s safety seriously.

this is what you're defending. this is a deleted tweet from kathleen stock displaying clear transphobia - refusing to acknowledge a trans man as a man. how is this exercising academic freedoms? this is hate speech

also the double standards here are ridiculous. kathleen stock is being protected due to "academic freedoms", but when it's students calling out transphobia its "harassment and intimidation". where's our freedom of speech to call out this disgraceful situation?

This is welcome. While the appropriate action needs to be taken against the students, you also have staff who have encouraged it. They also need to be disciplined. More broadly need to be ensuring all universities deal with this. It’s not just a Sussex problem.
