Impeachment is successful when the house votes for it. Senate conviction isnt required for the impeachment stain to be on the record.

The other view is though the aim is to boot out Trump, so it has to succeed. So both chambers need to pass it. Not likely atm, therefore why bother?

I agree Susan. And it would expose the truth in greater detail. And it would allow a recorded vote in the Senate where Senators voting for the President would be exposed. 2020 voters could then decide.

I agree with you on this 100% Susan. It's a moral imperative to hold leaders accountable and not let them and future leaders get away with blatant lawlessness of this magnitude.
