I'm honestly worried that we've gone past the "tube out of the toothpaste" phase with this deterioration of decorum, and we can never get it back like it once was.

I can't wait for the reckoning when all the self-serving sycophantic people in this administration are held to account.

There is no functional difference between the Trump campaign & the Trump administration. The White House is all about MAGA and reelection. Most of what Trump does daily is campaigning, not governing. Talking to these people about Hatch Act is wasting your time.

Yes, every darn day we need to remember, and remind each other, that this behavior isn’t normal or acceptable.

How about if you validate your statistics? Everyday more & more people are going to be calling in sick so they can get a job that pays. Surprisingly their creditors, like landlords, are still looking for their $$ (Then there's the whole I Have To Buy Food thing).

I watched CNN. And I watched a number of other channels. Fox is a waste of time. Don't say something isn't true when other outlets give facts and explanations.

If Trump got up and told the Crowd Size Lie for the first time today, it's hard to imagine anyone caring for more than a few hours. At this point the question should no longer be "can we prevent becoming numb" and should be "how can we undo how numb we are".
-
I could be persuaded otherwise, but I'm increasingly of the belief that we've already reached "this is normal" and to claim otherwise is to ignore reality
-
Sadly, I believe you’re right. You said it much better than I can. But I also think it should be explained *why* it’s wrong. Props to
@Susan_Hennessey but as pedantic as it may seem, say why. Annnnnd ... go (you’re better at this than me and I want to read what you’d say).

Not only should we not be numb, but with the inevitable demise of the Trump administration, this should be used to identify his supporters in government and then used in their termination.

Propaganda issues aside, is there any other OECD nation whose government compels slave labor today?
-
The DPRK does.

When this nightmare ends, some things must be shored up to prevent rabid illegality & impropriety to go unenforced in our democracy in the future. Our checks & balances have proven to be an inadequate protection in today's society w/o added support & limitations on POTUS power.
