The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017 does not arm criminals. If someone is a criminal who is prohibited from purchasing or possessing a firearm, nothing in the bill would allow that person to purchase or possess a firearm.

So if someone buys a gun at a gun show using the gun show loophole where is the background check?
-
Been to plenty of gun shows - everyone knows people buy guns from others in the parking lots as well as inside the show.

I live in your district, and I do not support this. Safety requires stricter laws regarding who can purchase and own guns. This does nothing to prevent gun violence.

It is inarguably not about safety. The absolutely overwhelming consensus within the interdisciplinary study of gun violence is that easier access to guns increases the risk of gun-related death across the board. This is petty identity politics & absolutely nothing more.

Are you going to mention that the qualifications for concealed carry in some states do not include safety training or a background check?! This has nothing to do with safety. It has everything to do with campaign contributions from the gun makers, funneled through the NRA.

Carry Act has nothing to do with safety, but it has a lot to do with $$$ . . . for legislators from their corporate donors . . .
