ALL of our elected officials need to raise their level of civility in order to address the serious issues facing our country. My complete statement ⬇️pic.twitter.com/wPSEI4IJIR

While I'm glad you finally crafted something with your team, I have 2 problems: 1) The President's grade-school racist remarks were so blatant, they shouldn't require a huddle-up before being condemned 1/2

        2) By including your final sentence about how ALL are at fault (and singling it out in your main tweet), you run the risk of false equivalency. Yes, everybody has cases where they could be called uncivil, but that doesn't mean the President's comments can't be singled out

His comments are FAR beyond inappropriate and deserve to be singled out for rebuke, not grouped with "all" politicians.

Inappropriate is not strong enough! Unacceptable, is closer to it.

This is the Susan version of ‘many good people on both sides’ after Charlottesville.
