This grant funding will equip police officers w/training & additional resources needed to deescalate life-threatening crisis situations & prevent future potentially deadly events from occurring in the 1st place. Since 2005, IN’s Jake Laird Law has been used +700 times in Indy.

I am all for safety of our officers, but fix the cause which is untreated mental illnesses. Many can recall how it use to be handled. The government, insurance carriers determined not to treat long term any more. Now, pop a pill ( if the patient takes it) then send them out.
