Both were remarkable men, who strived to lessen the divide within our country between our citizens. The legacy of Kennedy’s speech and the work of these two great men changed the course of history & it’s a living legacy that we must carry on.

As we gather here tonight to celebrate the 51st anniversary of Robert F. Kennedy’s speech at the very same place he addressed the public in times of turmoil & despair, I am proud this park received the national recognition it deserves.
