“In recent years, the growth of annual opioid overdose fatalities had also been accelerating: 8% in 2013, 14% in 2014, 16% in 2015, & 28% in 2016. As a result, opioids have contributed to the 1st decline in US life expectancy since the height of the AIDS epidemic in 1993.”

The outrageous truth is that in spite of the toll that opioids are taking on individuals, families, communities, business, and states.......the GOP chose to explode the deficit by giving tax cuts to the wealthy. There is no $ to address the opioid scourge.

One sided. Opioids bought me 14 years of work I would not have had without them. I was non-functional due to pain and the failure of other medications to control it. Once on them, I worked long hours. Now, due to guidelines, I am again, non functional. I'm not alone.

Ur continued attack on the ACA makes it worse. Without healthcare people who have pain also cannot seek alternative options like PhysicalTherapy, pain management, or mental health treatment. It all works together. U cont to try to put band aides on problems & contradicting urself
