Talking (and talking and talking) about this issue will not make children safer. We need to take definitive action to make sure guns in the home are secure, prevent anyone from taking guns into a school and make mental health care readily available and affordable. NOW, not later.

Oh security is top of mind? How about helping IPS schools modernize their buildings students don’t have to swelter with no AC? You can’t fix the basics, and you want to spend billions on militarizing their security? Go away Susan.

Sensible gun control! Would be a start

Gun violence is political because lobbyists pay our politicians for their inaction. Gun violence is a uniquely American crisis for that reason.

Addressing how children get access to guns, would reduce gun deaths, not only from school shootings but suicides. Listen to your constituents and not the gun lobby. #BeSmart @MomsDemand #ThrowThemOut
