Thank you for speaking up! First step. It’s clear the message criminals are hearing from SF elected leaders (and is being amplified on media) is “we don’t prosecute crimes here. It’s open season!” We need that narrative to change.

can you share some examples of SF elected leaders spreading the message that we don't prosecute crimes and that it is open season?

Shoplifting, petty theft & car break-ins are decriminalized and not prosecuted. This is widely known as public policy passed by elected leaders in SF and CA. In real life, this translates to “open season” for criminals looking for crimes of opportunity. And you already know this.

Can you point to anything showing that any of those crimes have been "decriminalized" or not prosecuted? Because there are many prosecutions of all those crimes

So you don’t know how many trials with convictions? Add three more to this list and you’ll be current. That’s out of 6,600 case presented by SFPD.pic.twitter.com/hEdlLuJV6n

Of felonies, but crimes like shoplifting aren't felonies in SF And since many misdemeanors don't end up having a full prosecution, it leaves out the many many plea deals. Something like 4% of felonies were brought to court by the last guy

About 90% of all criminal cases end in a plea agreement, FWIW

And the fact @chesaboudin won’t share his dispositions tells you he knows the public wouldn’t be happy with how many repeat violent felons are getting plea deals.
