Gun violence is a public health issue. Please take a stand.

We all agree. We need to call this what it is - a public health crisis worthy of federal resources to investigate solutions.

This is a national health problem and should be your highest priority. Helpless children are being gunned down almost daily. You need to be vocal against gun violence. This isn’t political it’s about children’s health.

Respectfully, Dr. Adams, you're Surgeon General. You can declare a public health emergency. You can *order* your command to intensively study gun violence prevention. You can do this today. Please do more than pray and stand.

Are we going to let this get as bad as the narcotic epidemic before national physician leadership and government do anything?
