What makes the opioid epidemic so difficult is that every individual is unique. There is no one-size-fits all solution. And we see this with pregnant women and babies being born with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome.

Addiction needs be understood and addressed by the criminal justice system by provision of treatment and rehabilitation! Judges, lawyers, jail/prison guards and probation officers need to be educated.

it is amaIng how softly the gov and the country as whole is approaching and treating the opioid epidemic, while the victims crack epidemic were demonize and villainized. besides the drug itself destroying many black families, the gov and police force did ten times the damage.
