“We all have a role to play in tackling the opioid epidemic, especially in minority communities. You are all seen as leaders in your community that have an opportunity and responsibly to lead by example.” #NMHM18

Please help improve access and payment to primary care providers who do MAT. They are the foot soldiers in this battle. #MAT #opioid #primarycare @aafp @ASAMorg

If you are serious then take away the easy excuse to not treat with MAT. Certification test is ridiculous. The addicts know how to use suboxone and they didn’t have to take a test. All docs should have this as an option to treat addicts.

Thanks! I’ll be presenting at @NationalCouncil #NatCon18 next week: Applying the #ZeroSuicide model to address risk of #overdose — a #ZeroOverdose model of care. People with sickle cell anemia, veterans, elderly people with crippling arthritis...MILLIONS (as the Florida model is rolled out nationally) are having their medication forcibly reduced or cut entirely. Many are killing themselves YOU HAVE STARTED A GENOCIDE. YOU CAN STOP IT.

You have to give it away to keep it and always be living the program you never know who's watching. You may be the only message a struggling addict/alcoholic see's before they hit bottom.

If leaders "lead by example" but their examples are false...I guess the result is a community in which SOME people deserve pain relief, and other don't. @SteveScalise, your wife, and other special people will be treated as if they are human beings who can tell if they feel pain.

People who suffer from addiction/pain have NOWHERE to go but to scam "rehab" or "pain" doctors. Govt has been "battling" against legal drug makers (reliably potent drugs) for YEARS. But you just keep "battling." STOP THE ANTI-OPIOID ZEALOTRY. I have to watch the suffering.

I'm the ONLY person who has replied here, yet a public servant is acting like a King, refusing to respond. He pretends to represent minorities, but he represents dictators/monarchs. In America, only people who *deserve* pain relief get it, because of an irrational fear of drugs.

You should DEMAND the removal of the anti-opioid "memorial" from the White House. Avenging the deaths of people who overdose on heroin by torturing elderly people with crippling, painful diseases is immoral. That's what YOU are supporting. Pain relief does not cause overdoses.

If YOUR wife needs pain medication for her pain as she endures cancer, I suspect she'll have no problem getting it. African Americans who read this should make no mistake: YOU DO NOT SUPPORT *THEIR* ACCESS TO PAIN RELIEF. You support govt's treating individuals as averages.
