Will she be receiving pain medication? I hope she DOES, because unlike you I don't legitimize the continued suffering of patients (by demonizing modern pain medicine).This despicable campaign is causing the deaths of chronic pain patients AND heroin addicts around the nation.
Lee, I was adamant that my wife receive multimodal, opioid sparing pain mngmnt. That said, it’s not a binary discussion- use opioids when helpful and as directed, but minimize them (and their downsides) when possible- like any other medical treatment.

I have Adhesive Arachnoiditis (iatrogenic), & opiods were a treatment that made my pain "somewhat" manageable. I was on many Meds before recieving therapeutic level of opiods & even had a Spinal Cord Stimulator Implantation, but now w/Meds reduced my QOL is fading away. TORTURE !
