The risk of addiction for a chronic pain patient who's been screened for addiction & takes their Rx opioids as directed is around 1%. 99% of pts can take opioids safely. As you educate society about addiction, please educate them that legal Rx's aren't the problem

We as a nation need to change the narrative of addiction being shameful. Shame leads to using alone which means no help if they OD.
