People are buying masks because they are worried & want to protect themselves. I get it. But here are some better/ proven ways to
your risk of #Coronavirus AND #flu
1) Wash hands frequently
2) Stay away from those who are sick
3) Clean surfaces

You are still MUCH more likely to be exposed to
#flu than#Coronavirus. Getting your#FluShot (it’s not too late) =
risk of hospitalization, & the healthier you are, the
your risk if you do get #Covid19. Also helps communities as you’ll likely use
medical resources!Show this thread

Normal citizens aren't required to have a fit test, stop spreading lies. If the mask can help a healthcare worker, it can help me. I'm in Korea at the moment and even the President wears a mask. If politicians want to stop or slow the spread, try cancelling political rallies.

Don’t underestimate the psychological / placebo effect of wearing a mask. If it makes the wearer feel more confident about continuing to go about their normal business - then that must in itself be an important benefit for society and the economy.

-
Same time it can induce over confidence and people can expose themselves with this ( ppl occasionally remove those masks from time time )

Masks should be advise for anyone who thinks they MAY have been exposed because they can be asymptomatic spreaders for a week or more before symptoms become apparent. It is irresponsible not to tell people this fact, especially travelers returning home from Europe & Asia.

Wouldn’t the average person using one improperly offer some chance of protection as opposed to none ? You’re worried about people improperly wearing masks but there are people walking around with GUNS, that don’t know how to use them, but I don’t hear any concern for that.

People without guns are going to wish they had them

And for those of us that have to use these masks, please remember they are reusable. Here are the CDC guidelines for the reuse of N95 masks. https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/topics/hcwcontrols/recommendedguidanceextuse.html …
