Could the cause of the vaping illness be irritation caused by the amount of water in the the compounds in the e-juice. I feel like vape juices should be tested to make sure they are anhydrous.

Why can't you show the concerned parents a real THC vape pen and cartridge. Maybe they could better understand the difference between water soluble nicotine and THC vape oils. The photo is of a vape pod for nicotine liquid. Shake my head.
