I commend
@CPSTF for supporting#CommunityHealth & national security.
Read @CPSTF’s new report detailing the military’s success in
cigarette smoking and progress on other efforts to reduce tobacco use across our services. http://www.thecommunityguide.org/content/2018-2019-annual-report-congress …Show this thread

ENDS products are banned for our service men & women, now you would have them believe they are not fit to fight for our freedoms due to smoking. PSA your choice to use legal products are not allowed in the army, airforce, navy & don’t you dare use harm reduction either!
-
Please remind me what these brave men & women fights for, give their lives for? while you may have good intent, this tweet, on personal liberties & ones value based on if they smoke, is abhorrent

Seriously
@JeromeAdamsMD tobacco use is threatening our military readiness and you refuse to even acknowledge that e-cigarettes could help transition our military from deadly cigarettes. This is why you get Tweets that say you should resign your position immediately.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Ending tobacco use is commendable
@JeromeAdamsMD, are you recommending less harmful alternatives? These soldiers go through SO MUCH on the battlefield, is a guilty pleasure (that may help them through that experience) THAT big of a deal, ALL things considered?#compassionThanks. You will not see a reduction in tobacco use among our servicemembers until you have a reduction in PTSD in them, the two go hand in hand. Your best bet is to encourage harm reduction through vaping or snus, and you seem painfully unwilling to do so.

IMO Soldiers should be given E-cigs at no cost as a form of harm reduction from combustible cigarettes.

Our soldiers have been smoking long before we know that cigarette smoking causes cancer. Are you implying the brave soldiers of the past wars were not combat ready? They were not fit to fight for our country? What’s your point?
-
It is no secret that you do not like tobacco harm reduction, that you hold less valuable lives of adults who use flavored nicotine vapor products to stay away from cigarettes. But to question the readiness of soldiers who use tobacco/nicotine products are so infuriating
