Join me in standing up and recognizing that addiction is a disease – not a moral failing. It’s a critical action to help overcome the #OpioidCrisis. Download my digital postcard for more steps you can take to combat the #opioid epidemic. #MondayMotivationpic.twitter.com/n2npXIcPZe

It is NOT right to stand up for addiction as a disease while ignoring millions of Pain Patients suffering other legitimate diseases. It is NOT right to ignore that these Pain Patients are chained to their beds from pain due to the lack of empathy from the govt. Recognize that.

WHERE is the digital postcard for chronic pain patients that deal with excruciating physical pain? Where are the steps for those patients to combat DISCRIMINATION due to pain from pharmacies, hospitals and physicians? How do We Stand up and Recognize their pain and suffering?

WHERE is the digital postcard where you stand up and recognize that Pain Patients have had their lives completely devastated due to the undertreatment of pain? By undertreating and ignoring physical pain, this nation has inflicted inhumane pain to millions. Recognize that fact.

Why is it that addicts can go to therapy and make a decision, daily, to stop their behavior? That means they have a choice. Whereas, I work harder to "fix" my medical disease, unfixable, not a choice, but now I have to suffer in pain because addicts like to get high. Wrong.

Why is it ok for alcoholics to keep drinking and killing innocent people on the road, but those of us with horrendous back pain due to a herniated disk, nerves etc... have to suffer. A 9 yr old kid could make better decisions than you. Alcohol kills far more than opioids!!!

Plz turn attention to prevention & treatment of Co-Occurring Disorders. Most addicted to/misusing substances have a co-occurring mental health disorder. CODA empowers youth to understand this link, while assessment & treatment must integrate MH/SU #CODAConnects #BeTheLink

And there, at the very bottom, the pushing of a dangerous drug, Naloxone.
