Honest question that you may know the answer to: Out of all patients with reported data (THC use included), what percentage include urinalysis screenings to determine (with certainty) which substances are being used?
Outbreak investigations -whether foodborne or vape product related- are hard. Requires input from/ cooperation by patient, family, physician, lab, local & state health department, and sometimes coroner. @CDCgov is giving the best advice it can based on the data it has/ gets.
11% are most likely lying. Self reported is not very scientific. Unless you drug tested them. Also did you read about the teens who were given a juul and thought it was Nicotine when it really was THC? Exactly. Also where and how did they acquire THC products?
My conclusion is the SG still can not do what is the right thing and promote Vaping Nicotine as a healthier alternative then smoking. Really sad our Gov't is actively lying and creating a false narrative to scare people back to smoking. Everyone of them should be ashamed.
