My #MondayMotivation goes out to the students at Carver Middle School. I visited with them earlier today for a special event bringing doctors back to school!

Growing up, I never met a black doctor. It wasn’t until college that I met Dr. Ben Carson (@SecretaryCarson). He has been such an inspiration to me and helped me on the path to become a physician. I hope my visit helps inspire each of YOU to be whatever you want to be.

I grew up poor. I did everything I could to have options in my life. Going to school, eating well and making smart choices pays off.
