(2/5) While “flu season” typically starts later in the fall, some healthcare professionals are already reporting flu cases. Don’t wait until it’s too late – make a plan to talk to your healthcare team about the #FluVax this week!

(3/5) #DYK that getting the seasonal flu vaccine can cut your risk of getting the flu by about half? It’s especially important if you’re pregnant, have young children, or are over age 65. https://www.vaccines.gov/diseases/flu

They want us to get these flu shots yet as in the past few years, the shot didn’t cover that particular strain of the flu! Why push something that may not work? Hummm

Because even if the flu vaccine effectiveness is low that year, a high vaccination rate still offers some protection and can mitigate outbreaks.

Germs can travel quickly through a community and make a lot of people sick. If enough people get sick, it can lead to an outbreak. But when enough people are vaccinated against a certain disease, the germs can’t travel as easily from person to person. Thank you @Surgeon_General!
