For #PainAwarenessMonth the SG: 1- uses story to push perception that PAIN is a mental response to imaginary disorder; 2- promises thru NIH grants aimed at addiction and recovery to be solving a problem; 3- IGNORES real problem of millions denied ANY pain tx, dying, suffering.

I can't say I'm surprised that the Surgeon General has used Pain Awareness Month as an opportunity 2 once again denigrate chronic pain suffering citizens. Tylenol and Ibuprofen are as effective as shooting a pellet gun into a hurricane. Keep gov't out of dr./patient interactions.

Yes....read the labels n they will tell you that Tylenol n Advil etc. are for minor muscle aches, headaches, fever n so on..keep reading n you will see where it says not to take long term..if problem persists...see your doctor, most of whom will now tell you to take them 🤷🏼‍♂️

Koroshetz “We need better medicine. The methods we have now are just not effective” BETTER? WHAT? #Opioids are incredibly effective! Have given tens of millions their life back-have for over 5,000yrs. Opioids are safe, legal & FDA-Approved. Leave pain pts alone. #opioidhysteria

I like how the idea that maybe her pain is being caused by some other undiagnosed issue or inflammation from her other illness isn’t an offered solution.
