This is Thomas. He got addicted to nicotine vaping nicotine at age 15. He says he grew tolerant and needed more and more hits to get a buzz, so he mixed in THC vape. To clarify, when I said he “mixed in THC vapes,” I meant he said he would go back and forth between THC & nicotine vapes. But Thomas was clear- his addiction started w/ potent nicotine vapes, & he wants youth to avoid his mistakes and not vape anything. I hope all agree on that!
As Thomas makes clear, teens are seeking a buzz whether from nicotine or illegal THC (which caused his illness). Flavors are not a driving factor and banning them will not stop teens from experimenting. But it will hurt adults seeking tobacco alternatives. We need real solutions.
