Agreed, @Surgeon_General Adams. @DFCRorg puts the risk in perspective:
1. The # of accidental ingestions is still much smaller than 4 more dangerous drugs and household chemicals
2. Cannabis overdose is NON-LETHAL
3. Legalization makes parents feel safe bringing kids 2 the ER

Don't forget that most places were not gathering this data prior to recreational legalization.

I know a guy who tried to OD on marijuana for 15 years and was unsuccessful. I’m pretty sure it is not possible.

Wow. All the way from 29 to 69 in a state of 7,000,000 over an 8-year spread. Wonder if parents felt more comfortable calling it in after legalization than they did before knowing that the risk of having their children taken from them was substantially reduced?

Thank you
@Surgeon_General for pointing this out.@TheJusticeDept and@DEAHQ must allow marijuana to be produced for research like they promised in 2016. Without research to shape good policy and healthcare, we’re flying blind.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

I think the Surgeon General is on strong grounds highlighting the need to stop children ingesting drugs. Good call, MD!
