For me the #OpioidCrisis is personal. My baby brother, is currently serving in prison for things he did to support his addiction. I share my family’s struggle to illustrate that addiction can happen to anyone—even the brother of the SG. #NMA2019HNL

1/2 There is a huge difference between addiction and dependence. I have yet to see this discussed. A person with substance abuse disorder becomes an addict. Someone who takes opioids as directed by a doctor will develop a medical dependency. The patient who has a dependency can
