Thoracotomy (cut a persons chest open) for lung cancer with Dr. Edmonds at ⁦@WRBethesda⁩ - talked opioid sparing anesthesia, and perioperative tobacco cessation, plus challenges of more patients using marijuana pre-op. I hope you need major surgery someday and your surgeon is a crazed Anti-Opioid zealot like you are. It's inhumane!! Drs. Andrew Kolodny and Jane Ballantyne should be banned from participating in ANY government health agency! #opioidhysteria #HolocaustofPain

The points being a) all I want for anyone else is what I’d demand for my own family. b) opioid sparing doesn’t have to mean more pain. Done right, it means less acute and chronic pain, less side effects, and faster discharge.

Would you demand for a family member who suffers from debilitating nerve damage who invests often in non-medication based treatments, nerve blocks, RFAs, infusions, etc. with no relief to be removed from a dosage of meds which have been effective for years? Would you demand..
