How the fuck does this prevent opiate addiction & deaths?Prescribing MAT is literally giving one drug for another just as addictive, same side effects, but doesn’t do shit for actual #cpp & GREAT arm everyone with naloxone, but they’d actually have to show up w/it to help anyone.
At @UW last week, I challenged GME leaders to ensure more graduating residents are DATA waivered/ can prescribe MAT for those w / substance use disorders- happy to share this response I got from their family medicine dept! @aafp @samhsagov @uwfm

Not to mention, for a drug addict - they’re sick & need REAL HELP not more drugs to keep saving them from OD. FOR
#ChronicPain &#terminal patients who are being wrongly categorized as#addicts & stripped of their needed medication to just suffer & die. Congrats on solving 0.

Great news for those addicted to drugs. I hope it helps prevent OD's due to illicit fentanyl Please Sir, could you address pain? People in pain are being denied pain relief. If one mentions pain they're accused of drug seeking.
