1/4 Hope everyone had a fantastic #fatherday! For this week’s #SundaySpotlight on #PublicHealth science, I’m shining a light on this @WSJ piece examining women being prescribed opioids after having a C-section. Read more:https://on.wsj.com/2wGMecy

NO!!! Cannabis components can be passed to baby in utero and in breast milk, and there are numerous concerns regarding exposing the developing brain to cannabis - especially with more potent strains and consumption methods that mean even more THC for baby. #nocannabis4kids!

Are there zero concerns for kids and Opioid consumption during pregnancy/ while breastfeeding? Also can you pass the study that shows which “Cannabis components” you’re referencing?? #NeedToEducateMyself #Medicine #SundayThoughts

Lol but let's give them autism with our shots and organ problems with our pills. Make sure to dope them us nicely so our society turns into a bunch of walking corpses as the @Surgeon_General lacks knowledge on plants and rather have a man made chemical poison u. Thanks sir.

Thank you for standing up to the pro-marijuana advocates and speaking the truth! Marijuana IS detrimental to developing brains. We must protect our children's brains! Pregnant women should say NO 2 Pot!

As the @Surgeon_General you would think there would be a more...educated response?! You should look into what's actually in breast milk, like the cannabinoids, and research cannabis before provided miss guided information. SMH. This is what happens when someone has too much power

This is one of the pettiest arguments against legalization I've seen. "Let's not allow people to access much needed medicine because kids might get high." Aren't most adult medications dangerous for children? We don't ban them. We just make sure kids don't consume them!

Much better to give children #antidepressants, #amphetamine, and toxic anti-seizure meds then low-risk, low-dose #cannabis treatments?
