As US public health officials know, but strangely hide from the public, the prevalence of frequent vaping (the only ones who might be "addicted") among under-age never-smoking teens (the only ones who are NEW to nicotine) remains vanishingly small (see NYTS 2018 data).

Using the word epidemic from a kid when they understand what it means kinda destroys their credibility. Unfortunately, people in positions of power that impacts the lives of many don't appear to have expertise in the field they have influence.
