1/? I’ve been getting questions/ concerns lately, including yesterday at @ClevelandClinic, about the @CDCgov pain guidelines, and unintended impact on patients they were never intended for. Providers and hospitals, PLEASE read this article!https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMp1904190 …

5/ Again, providers/ prescribers/ policy makers, PLEASE read the above article. We must
inappropriate prescribing, but we CAN do this without hurting patients the guidelines were NEVER meant to apply to!

No. If anything, opioid medications are now being underprecribed and the result is horrific and unnessecary suffering by those in chronic, debilitating pain. It’s also responsible for the growing number of suicides; civilian & veteran.https://www.painnewsnetwork.org/stories/2016/8/26/did-untreated-pain-lead-veteran-to-commit-suicide …

Opioids NOT being “overprescribed”. Doctors are too afraid to prescribe b/c of guidelines, which have been written into law here in
#Washington.#Medicaid patients like me are refused pain meds b/c MDs don’t want to “exempt” me from human experiment I did not consent to be in! -
Afraid of DEA Gestapo too

I want damages won in court for all the death, pain, and unneeded suffering CPP have gone through as we're blamed for the "opioid crisis"

So tell us why prescriptions are down but ILLICIT heroin and fentanyl deaths are up. Inquiring minds want to know. Are you just going to put GPS ankle brackets on
#CPP becuz u treat us like criminals anyway. We can't even go on vacation becuz of call-ins for pill counts. -
So true! I was telling someone about what we go through if we're lucky enough to still get meds..the drug tests, pain contracts, one pharmacy, pill counts and more. She couldn't believe it. If we go out if town and get called to have pill counts or drug tests, we are screwed.

Because of you I am terrified of getting surgery, so disability instead. YOU get the knee replacement with ibuprofen and tylenol. And then go Into kidney failure and have elevated liver enzymes. Which can KILL you. Hospitals have become torture chambers.

I have experienced it; you’re so right
