Many facets to a complicated topic but not enough focus on unique potential of harms to developing brain (FYI, youth brains develop from in utero-ie pregnancy- to abt age 25). Hope we can agree, kids & pregnant women should NOT use cannabis, or be encouraged to think it is safe.
Sounds like alcohol and tobacco shouldn’t be sold to anyone 25 or younger, but I don’t hear anyone advocating that.
Stronger strains and new delivery modes (eg vaping/ dabbing) make this a fundamental different era and product in terms of THC delivery- so again pregnant women and young people should be STRONGLY discouraged from using!
I agree, with the caveat that in extreme situations, under strict MD supervision, benefits of use may outweigh risks. Examples:
1) A pregnant women with extreme, refractory hyperemesis and weight loss (rare).
2) A child with severe, refractory seizures (less rare).

Most people who use cannabis, especially medicinally, don’t use cannabis like a stoner. Micro dosing, low heat, there’s a myriad of ways to use the flowers without getting stoned.
