It is so much more than "pills". Not every1 requires #OpioidMedication. But 4 some ppl, their individual pt circumstance; have medical necessity. Many of those ppl r denied even after exhausting ALL other options & incl surgical complications creating more #pain, like #CRPS.

Opioids also need to be recognized as a positive "part of" pain mgmt in the intractable chronic pain population. Opioids have been around for a long time & YES, they DO help many pt's. Sadly, addicts have given this RX a stigma, basically criminalized it.
